My wife and I engaged James to help us build a luxury 6-unit apartment building during the planning phase.   We hired James because of his reputation for integrity, quality and professionalism and we were not disappointed!   It was a complicated project due to it being coded as commercial which meant more complicated interactions with the city as well as sprinkler systems and the like.   James did an amazing job managing the schedule and the budget finishing the project in under 8mo and keeping us on budget despite some surprises entirely out of his control.    James has extensive experience with high-end homes and the knowledge and experience to manage complex commercial projects while still managing cost and budgets very effectively.  We cannot recommend James highly enough!

J. Burns Construction did an outstanding job of renovating my Heights bungalow. The quality of work was fantastic. This was an antique house in which the kitchen, bathroom, all plumbing, and entire electrical and HVAC systems were all modernized while keeping the charm, character, and historic neighborhood requirements of a 100 year old house.

James was transparent through every step of the process. Compared to dealing with the impatient sellers and extensive requirements of the bank, renovations were the easiest part. The work was completed on-schedule, on-budget via a transparent, cooperative approach. Very easy to work with.

J Burns Construction and crews were good neighbors. The site was kept clean and I received several (unsolicited) comments from my neighbors about the friendliness of the crews, no noisy work was performed after hours, etc. Great job. I love this place. Thank you J Burns Construction!
